LightmonkeyHDR ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use our software and services.

2. Information We Collect

Account Information:

• Email address (for license delivery and support)
• License key and activation data
• Purchase information (order ID, tier)

Technical Information:

• Hardware identifiers for license activation
• Operating system and software version
• Error logs (only when you submit a support request)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

• Deliver and activate your software license
• Provide customer support
• Send important updates about the software
• Prevent license abuse and fraud

4. Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored securely on servers located in Germany. We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.

5. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. We may share data only with:

• Payment processors (to complete transactions)
• Service providers (hosting, email delivery)

7. Cookies and Analytics

Our website sets no cookies and stores nothing on your device. We measure visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly analytics tool running on our own server in Germany: it counts page views anonymously, without cookies and without identifying you.

When you start a free trial, we store how you found us (for example the website or link you came from) together with your trial, so we can learn which channels work. Payments are processed by our reseller Paddle, whose checkout may set its own cookies; see Paddle's privacy notice.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your license is active, plus 3 years for legal and accounting purposes. You may request deletion at any time.

9. Business Outreach

We occasionally contact 3D artists, designers and studios whose product visualization work is publicly shown online, for example on their own website, LinkedIn, Behance or ArtStation, to tell them about LightMonkey-HDR. Our first message always names where we came across your work.

For this we store only publicly available business information: your name or studio name, the public page where we found your work, a short note on that work, and our messages to you. We never buy contact lists and never scrape content behind logins.

Legal basis: our legitimate interest in contacting professionals whose public work fits our product (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). We delete this information 12 months after our last contact, or immediately if you ask us to. To be removed or not contacted again, simply reply to our message or write to hello@lightmonkey.app.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via email or through our website.
